I believe the pianist was none other than Bill Pursell, one of the greatest session pianists who ever lived. My understanding is by the time this recording came along, Cramer was off on his solo career, having recorded Last Date.

I listen to this song a lot.
The lyrics are so wonderful, and the music is so beautiful.
However, most of all, the voice is truly amazing.
I never heard this kind of tender and descriptive voice before.
I commented here 2 months ago, but I have to comment again.
Elvis Presley is an amazing singer, one in a thousand years.
I praise God that He created his amazing voice.

As awesome as this song is, can you imagine what it would have sounded like on his Moody Blue album with a more mature voice...This song should have been an A-side recording.
